The Pattagonian Conure is also known as the burrowing Parrot due to how they nest in burrows. They are 45cm In length. both adults olive/brown head, neck, back and breast; lower back to tail and upper abdomen yellow; orange/red thighs and centre of abdomen; throat and breast grey/brown, white marks at bend of wing on breast; tail olive/green tinted with blue, undertail brown/grey. White bare eye-ring, eye pale yellow. Bill dark grey.

Aviculture/Special Adaptations

Best kept In aviarys and make a excellent flock bird due to their nesting habits. Make very good breeding birds if kept in the right environment. As pets they can be very noisy.
