The Jardines parrot also known as the red fronted parrot is 28cm long. The main coloring of their plumage is green with a black head, neck, back and wings with red or orange on the forecrown, the bend of the wing, and thighs varies in the three subspecies.

Aviculture/Special Adaptations

A quiet parrot, needs to be kept occupied, excellent in pairs and can be playful and shy. Hardy chewers if doesn't have the right husbandry then they can feather pluck. When acclimatized can be hardy and tough.
