The Cape parrot is 34cm in length and is sexually dimorphic with the female displaying a bright orange frontal. Their plumage is generally green however this can be different due to the different subspecies. Mainly green on abdomen, back and wings. Their neck and head colour varies from a grey to an olive/golden colour.
