The African Grey Parrot is a medium sized parrot averaging 33cm. Both adults are grey in colour and have a red tail. The face is a bare whitish colour with a black beak. African Greys have been made common in captivity through their talking ability.

Excellent in pairs, are prone to develop behavioural problems due to the amount of attention needed.
These birds are very sociable creatures, needing a lot of attention and enrichment. African Greys are very good at mimicry, however if they don't receive the enough attention or enrichment, birds can develop behavioural problems and are also prone to feather plucking.
